We took our best selling OG 0.3mm Derma Roller & gave it a GLOW UP so you can take your at home Derma Rolling and skincare to the next level. So let's break down which Derma Roller size is best for your face.
What’s the difference between 0.3mm and 0.5mm Micro Glow PRO Derma Rollers?
OK, so both of our Derma Rollers are made with medical grade titanium needles ( this is a huge deal) and they both have 540 of these teeny tiny micro needles all over it. The only difference between the OG Micro Glow and the Micro Glow PRO is the length of the needles. 0.2 of a mm might not sound like a big deal to you, but trust us, there is a difference in the results.
So, is bigger better?
When it comes to Margaritas yes, but when it comes to Derma Rollers, not necessarily. It can be tempting to go for the bigger needle because you’re aiming for maximum results in the minimum amount of time ( and we totally get this) HOWEVER we recommend taking a few things into consideration when choosing the right Derma Roller for you.
I’m new to Derma Rolling, which Derma Roller should I choose?
If you have never-ever used a Derma Roller or any at home skincare tools then we recommend you start with a 0.3mm Derma Roller.
I’ve been Derma Rolling for a while now, should I upgrade to a 0.5mm Derma Roller?
OK! It sounds like you might be a seasoned professional! Depending on how your experience with your at home Derma Roller has been, then you could level up to the 0.5mm Micro Glow PRO as you’ll have a good understanding of how rolling works and how your skin reacts to regular at home rolling.
I’ve had professional micro needling done at a salon, which Derma Roller should I choose?
Again, it will depend on how your skin reacted to the salon micro needling. At home Derma Rolling is not as invasive as salon micro needling ( ie: you will not need numbing cream and you won't bleed after at home Derma Rolling)
I have sensitive skin, which Derma Roller should I choose?
0.3mm all the way!
I'm upgrading from 0.3mm to 0.5mm Derma Roller, do I need to use different skincare
The good news is, the 0.5mm Micro Glow PRO Derma Roller slips right into your skincare routine where the OG 0.3mm was previously. In terms of post Derma Rolling Skincare we always, always, always avoid "actives" like Vitamin A (aka: Retinol) and stick to nourishing, hydration treatments containing gentle but effective ingredients ( and oh yeah, here's the plug for our post Derma Roller serum and skincare)
Still not sure on which size Derma Roller you should get?
If you have sensitive skin or are new to Derma Rolling go for 0.3mm
If you are a seasoned professional and have a good understanding of your skin and how it reacts to treatments, consider the 0.5mm Micro Glow PRO
